As Mother’s Day fast approaches, I’m reminded that we should celebrate all the special women in our lives everyday. My Mother’s mother Lillian Major adored daffodils. She was a woman of very modest means and required very few material possessions to make her happy. Lillian passed away many years ago but her memory lives on in the form of daffodils. When I was making this particular piece of jewellery it too reminded me of her. The treasures we truly keep are in our minds and hearts. Memories are what live on when that person is long gone.
